A little update on the SVDS replica

Hello Guys,

just want to give you a little update on the SVDS replica production.

Basically, it’s a rather complex process. Board layouts, chassis case, production planning, lots of details to consider.

Currently, we are finishing the final layout schematics and searching for a good chassis case that matches the original. Very likely it will be manufactured exclusively for us.

A second prototype needs to be built as sample for the factory. The replica will be built in Austria by a company specialized in small production runs of high quality electronic devices.

They offer production quality on really high levels, inhouse production of every single part, internal QA of every single device while keeping the costs at a moderate level. There will be no compromise made to the manufacturing and parts quality. They will build a handful of replicas first which will then be tested and demo-ed by Fil again to assure the tonal quality and matching to the original SVDS.

Prices are still not known yet, too many factors are still unknown. But we want to let you know that we are still working on it in the background. Good things just needs their time.
