“Back in Black” Tone Attempt (Cetec Vega Diversity)
I am silent, but that doesn’t mean I am not working. Hectically, actually (replica Schaffer, performances, new ideas, etc.).
I have studied more in depth and tried more experiments.
Here’s my latest attempt.
Hoping you’ll enjoy it,
PS It was recorded with the Cetec Vega – not the Schaffer – as both my working units are at the lab!

He made it because he didn’t know it was impossible (Mark Twain) Well it has come full circle: after 30+ years, I got to meet my hero of a lifetime, Angus Young. I know that you may be curious as to how this meeting was ever even possible, so here’s the whole story. Throughout the years Read more >

You know me (at least a bit) and therefore understand that not too long has to pass for me to go back to my personal holy grail, that being the “Back in Black” sound. But I attempted this time with a slightly different ingredient (a few actually) this including a new (bought used) Marshall YJM Read more >

Hello fellow SD members ! I am the lucky first who got to play his unit on this day, 10th of January 2014. I didn’t sleep much to be honest… Excitement all over my body; woke up at 7:30 ready to receive it . It arrived precisely at 10:39 am ( I’ve never opened a Read more >

And another SVDS test recording. Probably with the smallest possible amp to test with: A one watt battery driven Marshall MS-2: marshall ONE watt mp3 Recorded nonetheless with our usual high standards: Now, even such a small amp can have a lot of balls when pushed with a SVDS, right? And the replica will do Read more >

Okay, we heard the SVDS numerous times through big, powerful tube amps. And here we hear it through a small combo. So what about something that many members of solodallas.com use: Guitar Rig? Does the SVDS work together with Guitar Rig? YES, it does! And so will do our replica! Feel free to listen yourself Read more >
